Welcome to the Brem Foundation

Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to eliminating breast cancer as a life threatening disease through community outreach, advancing early diagnosis, research and education.

Brem Foundation supports the work of Dr. Rachel Brem, Director of Breast Imaging at George Washington University Medical Center and lead researcher in many early detection technologies including: Computer Assisted Diagnosis, Gamma Guided Breast Imaging and MRI Breast Imaging. 

Donations to Brem Foundation are used for projects including breast cancer early detection research and a biopsy and diagnostic fund for uninsured and underinsured women and men in the Washington DC metropolitan area for whom no other programs exist.
Dr. Rachel Brem with George Washington Medical Faculty Associates is helping conduct a clinical trial using the Somo Insight 3D automated ultrasound machine to see if the combination of ultra sound and mammography will help find more hidden cancers. The goal of this study is to prove whether it should be a first-line screening tool in combination when breast density is an issue. Click here to go to the exciting story.
